Vaginal Urethral Disorder

Category Vaginal Urethral Disorder

Urethral syndrome is a long-term condition in which the urethra swells or irritates without being infected. The signs and symptoms are close to those of a urinary tract infection. While the urethral syndrome can improve with age, it can be a lifelong issue. The urethral syndrome affects women even more often than it does men.

Urethral syndrome may cause:

  • Pain and/or burning while urinating.
  • Difficulty urinating (especially after intercourse)
  • Increase in urge or frequency of urination.
  • Blood in the urine.
  • Swelling and/or tenderness in the groin.
  • Pain during sex.
